Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) - IT'S BUILT OUR APPROACH!

A common concern we hear from potential clients is the lack of attention paid to quality measures, which significantly affect survey results, facility reputation, and financial performance. Our services are designed to address these issues, and our facilities consistently perform 50% above state and national averages in the following areas:

Unintended Weight Changes

Our protocols ensure that inaccurate weights are not recorded in the first place. We work with your staff to obtain true comparison weights each month, eliminating the need for ongoing documentation of questionable weight changes.

Tray Card Accuracy

Routine audits are performed to ensure that tray card orders align with your Electronic Medical Records (EMR), reducing discrepancies and improving meal accuracy.

Supplements and Tube Feeding Formulas

Supplement trials are conducted with residents to ensure they accept the prescribed supplements. We review supplements quarterly to assess continued need. Additionally, only high-calorie tube feeding formulas are used to maximize nutritional value while reducing overall costs.

Industry Standards

There is no universal industry standard for QAPI or consultant accountability, which is a common challenge in the consulting services industry.

Dietary Difference Accountability Standard

We provide customized QAPI reports that track (Nutrition-at-Risk) NAR categories, weight loss QMs, and potential compliance issues, which are reviewed and discussed with your IDT. Our Food and Nutrition QAPI monitoring, integrated into the Dietary Difference Documentation System, is based on surveyor investigative protocols and continuously updated to meet evolving regulations. We developed a Dietary Difference QAPI App that allows us to create customized reports and monitor and track each resident.
